29/11/21Staying in the camping pod was a very special experience. Great size pod, stunning views, felt very private and secluded yet close to the youth hostel for kitchen facilities. Electric heater was essential in November- it does take a while to heat the pod. Thank you for a great stay.
23/11/21The stay was excellent, thank you.
20/11/21As usual a friendly welcome and staff happy to chat and knowledgeable about the local area. Nice clean facilities and a great drying room for those wet days. All in all a great couple of days.
02/11/21This is the 2nd time I've stayed at Glencoe Youth Hostel, the first time being pre-covid. I was impressed with the safety measures brought in but the staff still made us feel comfortable.Overall the facilities are excellent but a special mention must be made of the drying room and showers. The drying room really worked and all gear was well dry the next morning. The showers were not only a good temperature but they were laid out so you didn't the whole floor soaked.
09/10/21Great atmosphere and very clean!
02/10/21Fantastic stay in the first Hostelling Scotland pod. So cosy and a stunning location. Thomas and team were so welcoming and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and shower nice and hot.
19/09/21great night in the pod! The view was amazing and the pod a lot more comfortable than I thought. The bed is wide enough for a single or a real attached couple ;-) I would say 1,2 or 1,4 meters. Really comfortable. Super experience! Will book the pod again.
02/09/21Lovely stay. Staff friendly and accommodating. Room nice. Location superb. Would have been even better if the kitchen, laundry and drying room were available but due to the pandemic they were closed. Would return.
31/08/21Lovely hostel in great location, friendly helpful staff, modern facilities.
11/08/21Our pod exceeded our expectations. From a distance, it looked quaint and up close, it was magical. It was beautiful, clean and just perfect - in every way.
06/08/21Thanks for a lovely stay. Great service, friendly atmosphere and clean and well managed
29/07/21As always, received a very warm welcome at Glencoe. The pod is lovely and a great place to stay.
10/07/21We stayed the night at this wonderful hostel prior to taking on the three peaks challenge . I have marked the facilities score down due to the pandemic and the unavailability on certain things.( Thanks Nicola !!!)The staff are all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble . I would stay here again in a heartbeat as would my 15 friends . Thanks for everything Thomas and your wonderful team
06/07/21We arrived to a cheery welcome as a family of 5. Hostel was easy to find, parking was great. Room was excellent, clean, tidy and fresh. The best bit was our host Thomas, he was extremely knowledgeable and happy to give us recommendations during our stay. Thank you for making or first family hosteling experience a brilliant one.
05/07/21Good hostel in a great locationNo use of kitchen facilities due to covid 19 rulesOverall good experience
30/06/21Fantastic staff and location superb. Would definitely recommend...
07/06/21We had the pleasure of staying in the new camping pod at Glencoe hostel - it was comfortable and had more space than we expected including an ensuite bathroom and a small patio with a view of the mountains. The indoor seating area in the pod meant we could see the view behind the luxury of a glass door when the weather was wet. The kitchen in the hostel was closed due to COVID restrictions (hence the lower rating for facilities) however I still fully recommend a visit.
17/09/20It'sa couple of years since I visited this hostel and the upgrade to the kitchen was impressive. It was a fantastic hostel for our family get together; we really enjoyed the cosy lounge. Definitely recommend it for private hire!
12/08/20Our new favourite Hostelling Scotland hostel! We used the Hostel as a Rent-a-Hostel with two families (total 10 persons). On arrival we received an excellent welcome from Thomas, the Hostel manager, who made us feel safe and reassured. The bedrooms are really comfortable and there is enough bathrooms too. With the open plan living and cosy quiet lounge, this hostel just ticks all the boxes for a staycation in a beautiful location.
21/03/20Friendly and well maintained hostel perfect for all ages.
06/03/20It was clean friendly inviting, modern & excellent. I don't know how you do it for the money. I am a big YHA / SYHA fan
24/02/20Fantastic. How hostels should be.
04/02/20Great for a school group of 14 + 3 staff. Excellent location, friendly staff, clean and modern facilities. We'll be booking again next year.
26/01/20Thomas has managed Glencoe YH for several years now. He and his staff always give a warm welcome to this well-located hostel. We will be back
25/01/20Very friendly reception fromThomas. Our two dogs were welcomed. The lounge was lovely and comfortable
20/01/20A good all round stay.
05/01/20A fabulous new year's stay in the unique Glencoe hostel. A bustling, warm atmosphere, friendly & helpful staff and the perfect base for exceptional Munro walking and for a memorable Hogmanay.
22/12/19Very well equipped, very clean and Tom and Thomas were super friendly and helpful.
