22/05/22What a fabulous place. Wonderful location with fabulous facilities. Clean warm and spacious rooms. We were a group of six middle aged walkers who thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you. Will definitely see you again sometime. Many thanks to you all at Glencoe YH
Phil and the gang
21/05/22A good hostel, nothing fancy but clean and modern, in good condition. Kitchen, drying room, showers and toilets all good. Nice cosy lounge with some books and games. Thomas and the team are always friendly and helpful.
19/05/22Excellent - all the facilities I needed to be ready for the next day
15/05/22A deservedly legendary drying room and friendly staff made the trip of the WHW worthwhile
13/05/22Great service from Thomas and James, very much look forward to staying again in The Coe. : )
13/05/22Peaceful location and relaxed atmosphere. Everything clean and well organised. Would definitely stay again.
11/05/22Beds are comfy, hostel is clean and Thomas is a wonderful host.
11/05/22The hostel has a great warden, pleasant dormitory rooms, and good facilities. It also has an excellent location. Great value for money if you are in a shared room, as with all the Sottish hostels.
02/05/22Glencoe was one of our stops while walking the West Highland Way. It was so easy to pick up the bus from the Glencoe ski resort to the village - breath taking scenery that we would have missed if stopped at Kingshouse. The bus back the next morning was suitably timed and didn't affect our walking. The hostel was immaculately clean with lovely showers and a comfortable room. Excellent kitchen facilities. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay.
16/04/22We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 10 and 12. It was really easy to settle in and the kids got used to hostelling life straight away. A lovely little hostel to introduce them to that way of travelling. We arrived in Glencoe by bus and the walk is only a mile and a half but that was quite a trek with backpacks for the kids. We had managed to get an earlier bus which I was glad about as it would have been a dark walk any later. I'd recommend aiming to get there by 5 if walking with kids
13/04/22We had a brilliant time during our stay at Glencoe Youth Hostel. Fantastic location; well equipped kitchen; comfy lounge; everything was spotlessly clean. Thomas and his team looked after us very well.
11/04/22We hast a nice stay, Rooms are big enough, nice location
03/04/22Great facilities in a beautiful location with friendly staff and a comfy bed!
28/03/22Great to be returning here after around 3 years. Kitchen is much improved (really good facilities), staff friendly and at £16 per night great value. The new furniture in the lounge is classy but practical and I think the decision not to have a tv is still a good one (wifi works fine).
28/03/22Booked the hostel for a weekend with friends. It was perfect and we loved our stay there! We will happily come ba k
23/03/22Excellent welcome from Thomas and the staff, really dog friendly and perfect location to explore the Glencoe area. Thankyou
21/03/22A nice clean friendly base for exploring Glencoe and beyond.
09/03/22Very warm and friendly welcome from Thomas on arrival late in the evening after a long drive.Warm comfortable family room. Adequately equipped self catering area.We had a brief but enjoyable one night stay.
09/03/22Another excellent stay at Glencoe SYHA. This remains my favourite Hostel anywhere in Scotland. The atmosphere is the best to be found anywhere with an enduring mountaineering feeling evident throughout all communal areas. Staff are excellent as always and late-evening story-swapping with both Thomas and Catherine were great! Remains the best drying room to be found in the entire country too! See you again soon!
07/03/22We had a six bed private room which was very clean and all the beds were made with clean linen and towels and was well heated. The showers and toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. The kitchen area was also very clean and well equipped.Overall a very pleasant experience ??
03/03/22Excellent facilities and service, would recommend to anyone!
19/02/22We loved the atmosphere, kitchen facilities were great, excellent dry room. The place was clean and quiet. We will definitely coming back ! Thank you
17/02/22One of the cleanest hostels I've stayed in. By far the best drying room, each morning all of my (previously drenched) kit was bone dry!
16/02/22Really impressed. Lovely welcoming atmosphere. Very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. How a hostel should be.
23/12/21Thomas was a wonderful host, as ever. Glencoe YH has the perfect situation looking right down the Glen and everything the walker needs - great dry room, and steaming hot showers.
21/12/21We enjoyed our stay at Glencoe. Our room was good size, clean and warm. Shower was hot, kitchen well equipped and kept clean. Drying room worked well. Overall we'd recommend this hostel.
06/12/21Great staff, particularly helpful when I needed some flexibility when booking. The perfect base for heading into the Glencoe hills.
29/11/21Staying in the camping pod was a very special experience. Great size pod, stunning views, felt very private and secluded yet close to the youth hostel for kitchen facilities. Electric heater was essential in November- it does take a while to heat the pod. Thank you for a great stay.
23/11/21The stay was excellent, thank you.
20/11/21As usual a friendly welcome and staff happy to chat and knowledgeable about the local area. Nice clean facilities and a great drying room for those wet days. All in all a great couple of days.
