Crianlarich Youth Hostel
About About this youth hostel
We welcome the recent announcement by the Scottish Government on the gradual and responsible easing of restrictions from 19 July. Unfortunately due to continued requirement for social distancing, we are unable to open our self-catering kitchens at this time. We hope to provide a date for the opening of these facilities following the next Scottish Government update. The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests, employees and the communities in which we operate remains our main priority at this time. For more information on what to expect when staying with us please visit the FAQ's section of this website.
As you’ll appreciate, advice on Covid-19 is constantly changing and we would ask all our guests to continue to refer to Scottish Government guidelines and Transport Scotland advice on travel and social distancing when making their booking.

06/07/21Great welcome, really helpful and friendly service. Excellent facilities.
04/07/21An excellent stay. Staff were exceptionally helpful and a very relaxing time.
02/07/21Sean was our superhero after 21 miles of the whw. We were dead on our feet and he revived us with kindness, a good sense of humour and pizza. He attended to our every need with joy and enthusiasm. Definitely recommending a stay to our friends!

26/06/21Very helpful staff! Superstar Sean was very welcoming, Martin was very friendly and Blair was superbly helpful!

25/06/21Really enjoyed our stop over here, as part of our cycle along the West Highland Way. The service was fantastic and we were made to feel extremely welcome. Would welcome this place to everyone.
22/06/21Great halfway point for the West Highland Way. Modern facilities and staff very helpful. Very comfortable beds and had a great nights' sleep. Local facilities close by so no problems finding places to eat and fuel up for next stage of WHW.
22/06/21Comfortable and convenient. Friendly staff.
17/06/21Great stay at a great hostel. Incredibly clean and well maintained - also offering excellent value for money. You really can't go wrong. Would definitely stay again
09/06/21Blair went above and beyond the call of his duty for my friend who unfortunately injured his knee at the foot of Ben Lui. Blair, being a physiotherapist, knew what to do; he even provided my pal with crutches. We nominate Blair for the Hostel Manager of the Year award. If you have no such award, then you should introduce one and award it to Blair. Simon.
04/06/21I had a good experience staying at the hostel and would use it again. Great location very close to the station and bus stop. I enjoyed the woodland trails on the doorstep. Friendly staff. Showers and toilets were very clean. The only downside was the WiFi not working.
03/06/21Lovely location, especially the wee trail up to the hill seat - perfect for walking our wee dog. Staff were super friendly, both the day and the night manager and really helpful. The facilities were brilliant. A great experience. First time we have used Hostelling Scotland, and were highly impressed. Definitely going to use it again, and I shall subscribe as a member for future trips.
02/06/21Great overnight stop on our way north. Staff were friendly and excited to be open. We stayed on the opening night!
01/03/20Wonderful hostel with great facilities and incredibly accommodating staff.
24/02/20Helpful and friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere in comfortable and spacious surroundings. Thoroughly recommended.
16/02/20Warden very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Handy for the railway station. Cosy lounge area with TV and fire. Drying room efficient. Everything on one floor good for aching joints after having climbed Ben More!
10/02/20Very accommodating Hostel Warden, David. Kitchen is small so best get cooking early to avoid meal time rush hour.
11/11/19We were starting early to go on the hills and the hostel was well organised for this. In the evenings a very comfortable place to come back and relax.
27/10/19We had a family of 43 staying in the hostel this October and it was the perfect setting for a great family get together. Staff were exceptionally accommodating. I would highly recommend.
25/10/19First time here and will defintely return to explore more rather than using it as a stop off enroute further north. Very comfortable room and helpful staff.
25/10/19A brilliant hostel that we stayed at last minute on the way back home. Friendly and helpful staff that made us feel welcome. Clean kitchen and hot water for tea that was on tap. Hostel was warm and comfortable along with the freshest of air outside. I would say it's a great spot for walking so we will return to use a base for exploring the area some more. Many thanks :)
21/10/19Excellent hostel run by friendly, helpful staff. Great location for Munro bagging, we'll definitely be back.
21/10/19very clean. Large family rooms and v comfy beds. Good drying room. Excellent staff and v friendlyGood for WHW, though a bit of a climb back out of the village in the morning
16/10/19Excellent welcome from Tom, really informative, friendly environment, good facilities
04/10/19All went to plan from booking to the stay. An accessible hostel run well and did exactly what a YHA hostel should. Thank you.
03/10/19Staff member was very friendly & helpful. As it was end of season, the hostel was pretty quiet but this suited us as we had a whole dorm to ourselves to relax after a long day. Very good value for money. Better than some of the more expensive hostels we stayed at.
25/09/19Wonderful experience, a perfect service and a very helpful staff. Thanks!
23/09/19Great hostel, with plenty of nearby Munro's to climb & explore nearby. Well equipped hostel & very friendly & helpful staff make for a great stay. Highly recommend 5*
19/09/19I brought a group of 10 cycling ladies here and we were very impressed with the friendly staff and excellent facilities. Very clean. Good breakfast, no complaints.
