A short walk from Aviemore town centre this four star VisitScotland accredited Youth Hostel is a popular choice with outdoor enthusiasts and offers a perfect base for activity groups, families and solo travellers looking for great value accommodation and all year-round adventure.
The hostel offers a wide range of comfortable private rooms and shared dorms. WiFi is free for all guests and other facilities include: a bright and spacious lounge area with woodland and mountain views, TV and pool table, a large self-catering kitchen, a drying room, laundry, private lockers, secure bike storage and ample onsite parking.
The hostel also hosts a Scottish Natural Heritage visitor centre, with Peregrine nestcam and helpful information about Craigellachie National Nature Reserve.

We would love to come back as it was our first visit to this hostel and it was really good. One suggestion is, where possible, to let individuals or couples know if a very large group is coming so that they can get an idea of when the kitchen is available (There was a VERY large group who took over the whole kitchen / dining room for about 2 hours one evening!)Liffy Grant

Highly recommend this Hostel. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and the Hostel itself was very clean and inviting. We stayed in a shared room which was very comfortable. It's well equipped for all your needs and is located a 5 minute walk from the centre of Aviemore. We had a great stay.Peter

The Aviemore youth hostel is friendly and welcoming. The staff were really friendly and very helpful, and as a lone female traveller I felt safe. The hostel is really handy for everything in Aviemore. I was comfortable and had all the facilities I needed, with plenty of showers etc so I never had to wait.Rosie

Location fantastic, Staff wonderful, Regular busses, and trains right on the doorstep.Multi Restaurants, again on the doorstep, easily suit everyone's taste.Coffee shops, Bike hire, and even an information centre, all within walking distance to the Hostel.The location is fantastic, Bike Paths, Walking Routes, all right on your doorstep.The Scottie Dog
