Rowardennan Lodge Youth Hostel sits in an idyllic location on the banks of Loch Lomond with panoramic views across the loch.
The lodge offers a wide range of private rooms and comfortable shared dorms. Only one of the bedrooms is
en-suite but there are ample shower and washroom facilities available. WiFi is free for all guests and other facilities include: a well-equipped self-catering kitchen, large lounge with fantastic views over Loch Lomond, a laundry and drying room. Basic provisions, confectionery and soft drinks are available to purchase at reception.
Rowardennan Lodge is a dog-friendly hostel. If you would like to book yourself and your dog into the hostel, please phone the hostel direct on: +44 (0) 1360 870 259 to check availability. There is a small charge of £7.50 per night for your dog when staying in our hostels.
‘Wee Breakfast’ available along with Evening Meals (Please remember to pre-book your breakfast).
The hostel is a popular venue for events and is available for exclusive private rental during the winter season from November to March.

Fantastic location directly on Loch Lomond on the West Highland Way. Spotlessly clean with excellent bedding and Lounge/shower facilities. The only down side was breakfast was rather lacking esp for those of us with gluten issues. How about some hard boiled eggs or yogurt? Also washing machine cost was very high (9pounds?)Yes

Absolutely beautiful place just along the lake with a very nice team available all along the stay. I had a great rest at the end of my hiking day. The bonus : enjoy the garden until sunset and have a swim into the lake.Agathe

The location of the hostel is perfect, the staff are so friendly and warm, and the amenities including the kitchen and lounge are very impressive. An absolutely perfect hostel stay! I think the hostel should advertise it's amazing three course meal option as well, as we weren't aware of this before we arrived and were very impressed! Special shout out to the packed lunch that kept us powered through the next day's hike!Aideen Duffy

Check in great, friendly and helpful. Room had a great view over the Loch and was comfortable. One shower and loo between three private rooms was plenty and it was warm and clean. The shower cubicle needed a proper door, not a plastic curtain though, floor outside the cubicle got wet very quickly. Cosy lounge. Pleased that evening meals are served, with good enough choice and quality. Packed lunch was a disappointment, with stale bread, and contents that in no way matched what was promised.Andy

Excellent - beautiful setting, super clean, the showers had good pressure and were hot. Lovely staff - Millie and Tracy in particular gave a warm and friendly welcome. The only downside was the one kettle in the kitchen, it was slow to boil and people were ready to pounce on it the second you put it down.Amanda G

Perfectly situated on the water's edge, the hostel sits on the West Highland Way and at the foot of Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro. It's a popular choice with walkers seeking comfort after an hard day's trek and anyone simply looking to explore and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the National Park.
Relax in the lounge and soak up the views, take advantage of picnic tables in the grounds of the hostel overlooking the loch or indulge in of some of the activities available in the local area including water sports and fishing.
For the less adventurous there are plenty of opportunities to explore the amazing scenery with a number of low level walks within easy reach of the hostel.
