Rowardennan Lodge Youth Hostel sits in an idyllic location on the bonny banks of Loch Lomond with its own jetty, panoramic views across the loch and the West Highland Way passing by the gate. It’s a welcome stop off point for those about to attempt the next 20 miles to our hostel in Crianlarich! If you’d rather take a more leisurely stroll, try the Millennium Forest Trail and explore the woods around the loch shores and village.

Recently awarded 4 stars by VisitScotland, the lodge provides quality budget accommodation in multi-share, family and private rooms (one en-suite). Facilities include a large lounge with spectacular views across Loch Lomond, a laundry, drying room, shop and secure bike storage. WiFi access is free. The youth hostel is licensed and meals are available on request with drinks and snacks available to purchase throughout the day.

Perfectly situated on the water's edge, the hostel sits on the West Highland Way and at the foot of Ben Lomond, Scotland's most southerly Munro. It's a popular choice with walkers seeking comfort after an hard day's trek and anyone simply looking to explore and enjoy the magnificent scenery of the National Park.

Relax in the lounge and soak up the views, take advantage of picnic tables in the grounds of the hostel overlooking the loch or indulge in of some of the activities available in the local area including water sports and fishing. 

For the less adventurous there are plenty of opportunities to explore the amazing scenery with a number of low level walks within easy reach of the hostel.
