Great location for the West Highland Way or Ben Lomond. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The food was good, especially for the price, and was better than the meal we had at the pub down the road. Beautiful building in a gorgeous location.Helen

The service at this youth hostel was very good and being able to book breakfast, lunch and dinner was good as well - which were all very nice. The hostel is situated in a lovely area and there is a beautiful view from the lounge. There are very few places to stay in the area and so if you wanted somewhere that was slightly cheaper but still a reasonable place to stay then this hostel is a good option while walking the West Highland Way or climbing the nearby Ben Lomond.Keith

The team on duty were very friendly and helpful with hiking tips/advice. Had a perfectly textured and flavoursome red pepper soup and a nicely spiced chicken curry with rice and salad for dinner. Well done chef!Location was key to my choice to stay there as it's nicely positioned in a quieter spot beyond the hotel, Clansman bar and camp site and very convenient for the start of the Ptarmigan path. You can take a boat to the other side of the loch but I settled for a post-walk paddle.Rich Warrick
