The Scottish Lowlands is an exciting mix of history and modern culture.

You can spend the day walking round some of Britain's finest art museums or take the family to the Glasgow Science Centre or Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh. There are tons of places to explore and opportunities to expand your mind.

Behind the classical frontage of historic Erskine Marykirk lies the modern building of Stirling Youth Hostel - a great base from which to explore the many attractions in and around the area. Stirling Castle on its crag is just a few minutes away, but head downhill and you’re soon in the city centre where you can find excellent shopping, cafes, restaurants, bars and nightlife. The Wallace Monument and Bannockburn Visitor Centre are worth a visit to learn about Scottish history and Blair Drummond Safari Park is easily accessible by car for a fun family day out.
