The Glasgow Film Festival is on from the 20th of February to 3rd of March and we've got some great recommendations for you!
To celebrate the 20th Anniversary, GFF is going test your fear factor by hosting screenings of The Blair Witch Project in a secret location. One in the afternoon for the easily scared and one in the evening for the insane fear junkies amongst us, let GFF play out your Blair Witch Project fantasies with these special screenings!
This special screening of the cult classic includes the opportunity to jazz up your drinks with up to two spooky ingredients! There will also be specially themed music and visual projections with performers there for that important Instagram post, making it an unforgettable night for all! Also, who doesn’t love Ghostbusters!
There’s also a family-friendly version of the screening in the afternoon.
Based on the true-life story of Saraya-Jade Bevis (Commonly known as Paige), we follow her journey from Norwich wrestler to WWE Superstar with her tight-knit wrestling family. Directed by Stephen Merchant and starring Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the movie is sure to provide great entertainment for all!
Another special screening, this time it’s The Matrix at Argyle Street Arches, with fantastic Matrix themed installations and an after-party with a DJ set for after the film. Leather coats encouraged.
Stop Motion animation has a bit of resurgence in the last few years, especially after the excellent Wes Anderson film- Isle of Dogs last year. Meet the team behind animated films of Fantastic Mr Fox and Isle of Dogs and learn all about the fascinating process of Stop Motion.
The movie quiz of the year returns on Monday, February 25th and will test even the biggest movie nerd’s knowledge so get your team prepared and get ready to win the big one- the GFF Quiz!
